Highlights of the collection include:

IT'S SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO 1997 - 2006
From its opening in the 1920's, the Apollo Theater has been Harlem's premier show place and an iconic venue for African American performers.

NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL 1963 - 1966
The Newport footage stands out as the most comprehensive document of unadulterated Americana music that exists. The Isle of Wight Festival Of Music was held a year after Woodstock and stands out as one of the most memorable rock festivals of that era. The festival included performances by Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who, and many others.

THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW
Beginning in 1948 as "The Toast Of The Town", the show became America's most popular and enduring variety show for the next 23 years. His line-ups represented a virtual "who's who" of American entertainment. An appearance on the Ed Sullivan show truly said to the American public that you were a star. - The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, the Jackson Five, and many others.

FESTIVAL EXPRESS
During the summer of 1970 popular rock bands The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and others embarked on a mammoth trip via private train across Canada. Along the way they stopped off at different Canadian cities and staged a series of "All Star" concerts.
   
Other highlights from the Clips & Footage collection include: 

 Sam Silver is a fantastic collection of home movies and travelogues from 1930s to 1960s. Documenting life in the UK, local holidays and trips across the continent, one can see the build-up to WW2 around Europe and the return to normal life post-war.

The Travel Film Archive is a collection of travelogues, educational and industrial films that show the world the way it was between 1900 and 1970 in black and white and colour. Predominantly shot on 35mm, it is in great quality, and includes the work of renowned travel filmmakers.

 
Moving Picture Archive is a newly digitised collection that features some great lifestyle documentaries, stock shots, celebrity profiles, and commercials. Also featuring GVs of life in Britain and the trends of the time, there is a strong focus on war, cars, and planes.
